Minervois Wines
Minervois is a small appelation, situated in southern France just above Corbieres. Fallen out of favour some time ago yet those who have survived are making truely wonderful wines.
Steep slopes, sunshine, old Grenache vines all make for the possibility of superb wines.
Our list is still growing but the Minervois wine that we list is a cracker indeed. Borie de Maurel Minervois, a family run, very small operation making great wines at great prices. In addition the L'Ostal Cazes Cru Minervois is a big powerful yet soft and concentrated wine, owned and run now by the family who own Chateau Lynch Bages. Having taken over the estate a few years ago they have turned the wines around into sublime, award winning Minervois wines.
