Pinotage Wines
This grape is to South Africa, what Zinfandel is to California. and Shiraz to Australia. The main point of difference is that it does struggle to achieve the potential of the other two grape varities.
Pinotage is a Cinsault x Pinot Noir cross, traditionally made big and earthy. Newer styles have tried to produce something more akin to Beaujolais, also with some some success.
