Graciano Wines
Well this is strange grape indeed. Indigenous to Spain, Rioja mainly and used to be part of the main house blends in most Riojan estates. However due to fashion, changing climates etc etc the little Graciano had been side lined, grubbed up and done away with for years.
Now on a slow but steady come back and very much being championed by the superb organic Riojan estate of Bodegas Vina Ljalba. They were one of the very first Riojan houses to convert to organic and are amongst an even smaller to produce a single varietal Graciano.
