Argentinian Wine
Argentinian Wines have only come to the western market relatively recently, since the 1990’s, but the country has a wine heritage that dates back to the 1500’s so why has it taken so long for Argentina to spread their wines across the globe? One of the main reasons you didn’t see a lot of wine from Argentina on the market until recently was the fact that most of the wine was consumed in the country. Argentines love their wines and hate to see them go and for good reason!
Our list of Argentinian wines is constantly growing as we strongly believe in their rich fruit and value for money. Argentina differs from other wine producing countries in that price isn’t necessarily an accurate measure of quality, today, you’ll find delicious reds and whites across all price points from our award winning wine Eral Bravo YBS, to the understated Gouguenheim Estaciones Cabernet Sauvignon.
However it must not be forgotten that Malbec is definitely the king here! Argentinean wine producers have effectively made Malbec their own. The age-old Bordeaux variety produces an intense wine in Argentina soil, with a nice acidity and great sophistication that has no equal.
