Californian Wine
Californian Wine dates back to the 1700s, during this time the wine was used primarily by the churches, now it has grown to be one of the largest wine producing regions in the world, producing more wine than the whole of Australia. Originally Californian wines were made from mainly one grape variety known as the ‘mission grape’ brought over from Mexico by the Spanish. Now California is renowned for it’s extensive variety, not just with grapes but soil types and techniques as well. This variety allows Californian Wine makers to compete with the finest wine producers in the world on quantity and quality.
