A blend of; 94% Zinfandel, 6% Petite Syrah and sourced from selected vineyards in17% Amador County, 25% Sonoma County and 58% Mendocino County.
A deep crimson red in colour, this Zinfandel shows forward blackberry and raspberry jam aromas interfacing with black pepper, licorice and currants. Black cherry flavors follow with nutmeg, allspice, white pepper, and bakers chocolate undertones while the mouthfeel is rich and round with some sweet tannins showing attractive structure.
Ready to Drink? Not ready really but can easily be drunk now. Decant for best results or leave a further 2-5 years.
Food and Wine Matches: Great with all grilled or barbequed meat, such as hamburgers, baby back ribs, spicy sausages or grilled chicken.
