The wine is made from a mixture of grapes belonging to a vineyard of over 50 years of age - situated on the slopes of Sierra de Cantabria and a vineyard of 12 years of age - situated on the fertile plain of the Rioja Vega estate. Precision prevails in the making of this wine aiming for healthy grapes whilst achieving prime phenolic ripening.

Alcoholic fermentation lasts 10 days with 20 days of maceration. The average fermentation temperature is 28C and malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at 18C.

Ageing takes place over 2 years in American Oak casks (5% of which take place in French oak casks). Bottle ageing lasts 12 months before being released.

Ready to Drink? Yes, best decanted though. Will mature well over the next 2-4 years.
