Aromas of red fruits and raspberries with a hint of truffles lead to a full bodied palate showing well balanced acidity, good structure and a long finish.

Bodegas Principe de Viana controls 900 hectares of vineyards in Murchante, a town located 100 kilometres south of Pamplona, on the Pamplona-Madrid axis. The area, the Queiles river valley, in the Ribera Navarra, is particularly suited for growing top-quality grapes. In addition, the bodega and its vineyards are only 20 kilometres away from Moncayo, a 2,316-metre high mountain that results in a local microclimate with very cold winters and very hot summers. Annual rainfall is 448 litres per square metre and the average temperature, 13.6 C. The soils offer an ideal mixture of gravel and clay ensuring good water retention whilst avoiding drainage problems.

Ready to Drink? Yes but will also keep for a few years quite happily.

Food and Wine Matches: Best served with pasta dishes and poultry.
