The Montepulciano vines are grown in the loose, silty soil of the Costa di Morro vineyard. Maceration of the skins is for about 15 days after which malolactic fermentation occurs. The wine is then aged in oak (50% new, 50% second fill) for 14 months and then a further 6 months in bottle.

Rich ruby red with similar red fruitaromas and flavours on the palate. A nose and palate bursting with cherries and plums surrounded with a pleasant unassuming hint of spicy oak.

Ready to Drink? Not really but can be drunk with food after decanting. However for the very best from this fabulous wine we would stongly advise that you mature for a further 2-5 years.

Food and Wine Matches: Roast lamb or lamb shank would be a perfect match.
